Describe your college experience
My college experience at Louisiana State University has been both rewarding and growth-oriented. As a forensic psychology major, I have developed a deeper understanding of human behavior while also strengthening my critical thinking and communication skills. Beyond academics, I have learned how to balance responsibilities, manage my time effectively, and build meaningful connections with others. Being part of a diverse campus community has allowed me to meet people from different backgrounds, which has helped me grow both personally and socially. Overall, my college experience has shaped me into a more confident, independent, and motivated individual who is prepared to take on new opportunities.
Tip for future students
First, learn how to manage your time early. College gives you a lot of freedom, but it’s easy to fall behind if you’re not keeping track of assignments, exams, and deadlines. Staying organized will save you a lot of stress. Second, don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Talk to new people, join organizations, and get involved on campus. Some of the best parts of college come from the experiences you didn’t plan. Also, build relationships with your professors. Ask questions, go to office hours, and actually engage in class. It helps you academically and can open doors for opportunities later. Take care of yourself too—mentally and physically. Get rest, eat properly, and give yourself breaks when needed. Burnout is real, and you don’t have to push yourself to the point of exhaustion to succeed. Lastly, enjoy the experience. College goes by faster than you think, so try not to stress over every little thing. Learn from mistakes, grow from challenges, and make memories along the way.

At the moment I have not have any favorite classes because I am still in my general education classes, not focused on my major
Career goals
My career goal is to become a forensic psychologist, combining my passion for understanding human behavior with my interest in the criminal justice system. I aim to use my skills to help law enforcement, legal teams, and individuals by analyzing behavior, providing assessments, and contributing to fair and informed decisions. Through my education in forensic psychology at Louisiana State University, I am building a strong foundation in both psychology and research, preparing me to make a meaningful impact in the field while continuing to grow professionally and personally.
