Describe your college experience
I am international, so I have a great deal of things to talk about regarding college transitions. So far, I have especially enjoyed my science classes, which encourage deeper thinking and problem-solving. I have also appreciated meeting people from diverse backgrounds and building new friendships. Overall, college has helped me grow academically and personally while exploring my interests in the life sciences.
Tip for future students
One tip for future students is to take advantage of campus resources early, such as office hours, tutoring, and academic advising. At first, it can feel intimidating to ask for help, but professors and staff are usually very supportive. I also recommend exploring different clubs, events, and study groups to meet people and build a community. Finally, give yourself time to adjust. College can feel overwhelming at the beginning, but it becomes much more manageable once you find your routine.
Favorite class
Chem 20A/B. I really like Professor Wu!
Career goals
My goal after college is to pursue graduate study and eventually work in academia. I enjoy teaching and sharing knowledge with others, and I hope to become a professor who can both conduct research and mentor students. Through research and teaching, I would like to contribute to scientific discovery while helping future students develop curiosity and critical thinking.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night is going out to eat with friends. It’s a great way to relax after a busy week, try different foods, and have meaningful conversations. I enjoy exploring new restaurants around campus while catching up and sharing stories with friends.
