Describe your college experience
My college experience has been a very transformative growth journey for me. As someone who’s naturally outgoing, I loved the challenge of balancing a busy work schedule with a packed social life. I didn't just sit in lectures bored out of my mind like I thought, I stayed curious and engaged, always looking for chances to learn something new or help a classmate understand a tough concept. It's all about working hard, staying driven, and making those real-world connections that actually matter.
Tip for future students
My biggest tip is to find your balance early on. Since I'm super outgoing, I had to learn that working hard and socializing don't have to compete. They actually work better together if you stay organized. Don't be afraid to ask questions or step up to help others because you learn the most when you’re teaching someone else. I wish I’d known sooner that building relationships with your professors and peers is just as important as the study hours you put in!
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been my Intro to Hospitality class because it completely validated my passion for this industry. As someone who loves to socialize and work hard, I was fascinated to learn how much strategy goes into creating a seamless guest experience in all the different sectors of Hospitality. The course allowed me to explore leadership styles and the importance of attention to detail in both resort management and event planning. It felt less like work and more like a roadmap for my future, especially since it highlighted the exact standards of excellence I hope to one day bring to a company like Disney.
Career goals
After graduation, I’m excited to channel my energy and social nature into a career within the hospitality industry. I am particularly drawn to the resort and event sectors, where I can use my work ethic to create seamless, high-energy experiences and connect with people from all walks of life. Whether I’m managing large-scale events or ensuring a guest's stay is unforgettable, I love the fast-paced environment of this field. Ultimately, a major goal of mine is to bring my passion for service and education to a world-class organization like Disney, contributing to the magic and excellence they are known for globally.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night would be a movie night or book night in with my girl friends! We all are movie geeks and love to explore new genres together at least once a week! We usually order pizza, make some cute mocktails, and either read and debrief a book together or watch and debrief a movie together!
