OSU Junior Nursing Student
Hi! I’m a junior nursing student at Ohio State with a passion for connecting with people and trying new things. I’ve served as a Resident Advisor and as president of a student organization, and I love getting involved in campus life — from participating in clubs to exploring Greek life. One of my favorite things about OSU is discovering fun, unique classes that make every semester exciting!

Clubs, organizations & involvement
Throughout my time at Ohio State, I’ve been deeply involved in student organizations that have allowed me to grow personally and professionally while connecting with the campus community. As a freshman, I participated as a mentee in both the Buckeye Student Nurses Association (BSNA) and NSPIRE, which gave me valuable insight and support early in my college journey. In my sophomore and junior years, I stepped into mentor roles for both organizations, helping guide newer students through their academic and personal transitions. I also served as Co-President of Sk84Fun and became a member of OSU Ski Club, CASA, and Chi Alpha. These experiences have introduced me to amazing people, strengthened my leadership and mentoring skills, and helped me appreciate the wide range of opportunities that make Ohio State such an engaging and welcoming place.

Describe your college experience
My experience at Ohio State has been amazing! There’s always something happening on or around campus — from free events and student gatherings to new activities to try with friends. No matter your interests, OSU makes it easy to get involved and make great memories.
Tip for future students
Take advantage of as many opportunities as you can! OSU has something for everyone — explore classes that spark your curiosity, join clubs that match your passions, and dive into new experiences across campus. You never know what might inspire you.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been KNSFHP 116105: Horseback Riding – English Style I. It was such a fun and unexpected experience! I loved stepping outside my comfort zone and learning a completely new skill while getting to enjoy something hands-on and active.
Career goals
I’m pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ohio State with plans to continue into the BSN-to-DNP program, specializing in Nurse Anesthesia. After gaining a year of experience in critical care, I hope to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and make a real impact in patient care.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I love checking out whatever event is happening around campus — whether it’s a movie night, a concert, or a student organization mixer. OSU always has something new going on, so there’s never a dull moment!

We participated in a private, two-hour campus tour of The Ohio State University, and it was an excellent experience. Our tour guide, Emily, was engaging, knowledgeable, and attentive to our family’s interests throughout the visit. Emily guided my daughter, my wife, and me through several key areas of campus, including Thompson Library, the Rec Center, the Ohio Union, and multiple dining halls. She provided helpful insight into daily student life while also highlighting academic, social, and recreational resources available to students. She came prepared with useful handouts, including a campus map and key tour highlights, and shared practical advice on dorm selection, dining plans, and places to eat around campus. Emily also discussed lessons she learned as a freshman, information related to my daughter’s intended major, recommendations on where to live to minimize walking, and tips on working effectively with academic advisors. She also covered sorority life and the wide range of clubs and organizations available at Ohio State. What stood out most was Emily’s energy and flexibility. She asked thoughtful questions to better understand my daughter’s interests and adjusted the tour on the fly to focus on what mattered most to us. At the end of the tour, she allowed time to sit down, recap the visit, and address any remaining questions. Overall, this private tour provided a comprehensive and personalized introduction to Ohio State and left us with a very positive impression of the university.
