Describe your college experience

I grew up homeschooled, and went to a "homeschool partnership" throughout high school, which had similar structure to college, thus the academic transition was fairly smooth. As far as dorm and student life, I would say it has been a welcome change in my life. The autonomy and agency that I have at A&M compared to home is very freeing.

Tip for future students

I wish that I would've known about some Texas A&M traditions before attending. I came into this school blind, and now I am completely immersed in its rich culture and history. I would recommend that any incoming student attends/views a football game, a cadet review, or even a Muster before attending.

Favorite class

My favorite class thus far has been my climate change class. I am pursuing a meteorology minor, but without a STEM major, most of the prerequisites weren't feasible for an English major. However, the few climate change classes here at A&M allowed me to pursue such, as well as being interesting and quite enlightening courses.

Career goals

I hope to commission into the Marine Corps upon graduation. If I find my place there, I would be quite content spending the "full 20" years of a military career there. However, if I instead choose to leave after the end of my commission (3-4 years) then I plan to attend the police academy.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal free night would be a dinner among good friends, followed by a visit to the local dance hall.

High school or secondary school

I have been homeschooled my entire pre-college life.
