Describe your college experience
I believe that transitioning to university, especially as an international student living completely separate from my family, is quite daunting. However, the experience that I've gained and the development I've observed in myself as a person has been unmatched and quite priceless.
Tip for future students
Use the first year to understand how you study, socialize, and organize your living space. Strive to strike a balance between the two, because freshman year presents a wonderful opportunity to develop these skills in a less strenuous environment since classes are easier. I wish I had known that coming into my Freshman year.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been Organic Chemistry II because I had a professor whose teaching style truly resonated with me, and found myself wanting to go to office hours and involve myself in the learning of the material. It was not a class where I got a very high grade, though it was definitely the class where I learned the most.
Career goals
I hope to enter a field of healthcare where I can work with patients in a one-on-one environment. Helping people is my ultimate goal, whether through being a health educator, a doctor, or even a physical therapist.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I enjoy spending my free night with others, regardless of the setting. If there are close friends involved, I believe it will always be a fun time, whether playing video games and watching movies, chatting around the table eating snacks, or exploring a new area of San Diego I enjoy the company of others.
