Describe your college experience

I’ve been at Mississippi State for three years after transferring from the University of Kentucky. My transition was smooth because I was welcomed by both the athletic community and the campus as a whole. Being a student-athlete has taught me how to balance academics and sports, while also giving me opportunities to grow as a leader. My experience here has been full of support, growth, and community, and I’ve really enjoyed building relationships and getting involved on campus.

Tip for future students

My biggest tip for future students is to get involved and not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Whether it’s joining organizations, going to events, or meeting new people, that’s how you really make campus feel like home. I also wish I had known sooner how many resources there are here to support you from academics to athletics to student life. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and take advantage of everything the school has to offer.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been Business Calculus. It was fun and challenged me in a good way, which helped me grow and gain more confidence in my skills.

Career goals

After college, I hope to pursue a career in the sports industry, combining my background as a student athlete with my business administration degree. I’m passionate about staying connected to athletics and would love to work in a role that allows me to make a positive impact on athletes and the sports community.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is hanging out with friends, whether that’s going to a game, grabbing food, or just relaxing and watching a movie. I also enjoy downtime where I can recharge before a busy day of classes and practice.

Previous college

I transferred from the University of Kentucky. While transferring can feel like a big change, the transition was smooth because I quickly found support through athletics, academics, and campus life. Mississippi State welcomed me right away and gave me opportunities to grow, which made it easy to feel at home.
