Describe your college experience
The first month as a freshman in college was difficult. I missed my family and my childhood home, but I quickly made friends and pushed myself to become involved in the community. By doing so, I had a purpose at UCSD and can confidently say it is the perfect fit for me.
Tip for future students
Push yourself to get involved even if it seems overwhelming. Don't be afraid to ask professors and friends for help. Talk to other students in your classes.
Favorite class
Queer Theory or LTEN 26. I had the same professor for both classes, and she did an excellent job incorporating things going on in the world with the material we were learning. I felt like she excelled at supporting her students and created a welcoming environment.
Career goals
Become an English Professor.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Read a cozy book and journal after a relaxing shower.
