I’m a senior student who’s grown up in Texas. I’m full of school spirit (hook’em forever!!) and love showing people all the iconic Texas things. I started as a general education major and decided to specialize in dance education where I can pass my passion on to young people.

Clubs, organizations & involvement

President of organization called dance action which is a performing group on campus. I have also been an orientation advisor for two years which means I was helping incoming freshman get the classes they need as well as introducing them to campus

Describe your college experience

Going to college made me grow up really fast, it was my first time living on my own and having to take care of myself so it was a big transition for me. I feel like I’m still transitioning from being in high school to adult life. But I think that living in a dorm and having a set schedules helped me transitioned a lot and I feel really settled in my routine at school.

Tip for future students

Try everything!!! Especially your first year because there’s so many things to do and you’re not committed to anything yet. Go to the games, go to new org meetings, try new things it’s how you make new friends.

Favorite class

Cognitive learning and development. I’m an education major and this class taught me a lot about learning in general and how we best learn. I felt like I learned not only how to teach my future students, but also how to learn and study myself which I have used all though my college career

Career goals

I hope to becoming a dance teacher in public education. I also hope to develop curriculum and run my own dance program either in public schools or dance studios.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Having a nice dinner with friends, eating in front of the tv and watching something all together.
