Describe your college experience

Transitioning to college was both exciting and a little overwhelming at first—especially coming into such a large and prestigious university like UCLA. But over time, I found my rhythm by getting involved in campus life, forming meaningful friendships, and exploring my academic interests. My experience at UCLA helped me grow into a more confident, independent, and curious person. It wasn’t always easy, but the challenges taught me how to adapt, stay organized, and make the most of every opportunity. I’m really proud to call myself a Bruin and love sharing that journey with others.

Tip for future students

Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there—whether it’s joining a club, going to office hours, or saying hi to the person sitting next to you in class. UCLA has so many resources and opportunities, but it’s up to you to take the first step. Also, it’s okay not to have everything figured out right away. Give yourself time to grow, explore, and make mistakes. And pro tip: the campus is huge—comfortable shoes and a good water bottle go a long way!

Favorite class

My favorite class was Psych 186B Cognitive Science in Neural Networks. It was both challenging and rewarding—I got to design my own program from scratch and work closely with my professor throughout the process. It pushed me outside of my comfort zone, but it was really fun to apply what I’d learned in a hands-on way and see everything come together by the end of the quarter.
