Describe your college experience
Starting college was definitely a mix of excitement and nerves. I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but I quickly found my people and started to feel at home here at the University of Arkansas. From figuring out how to manage my classes to getting involved and exploring Fayetteville, it’s been a learning experience in the best way. I’ve grown a lot, made some amazing memories, and now I love sharing what I’ve learned with future students who are just starting their journey.
Tip for future students
Give yourself grace and don’t be afraid to ask for help—whether it’s from professors, upperclassmen, or even the person sitting next to you in class. Everyone’s figuring it out too. The transition can be overwhelming, but growth takes time. You’re not supposed to have it all figured out right away.
Favorite class
One of my favorite classes so far has been Psychopathology because it helped me understand people (and myself) in a whole new way. The professor was super engaging, and the topics felt really relevant to everyday life. It made me excited to come to class, and I actually found myself talking about what I learned outside of school.
Career goals
After college, I plan on going to OT school to get my doctorate degree and build a career as a pediatric occupational therapist. I’ve always loved working with kids and helping others, so this path feels like the perfect fit.
Ideal way to spend a free night
On a free night, I love hanging out with friends, trying a new spot in Fayetteville, or going to a Razorback game if there’s one happening. I’m always down for a spontaneous plan.
