I'm rising senior at Virginia Tech, and in my years here I've been involved in various aspects of campus life from the academics and clubs to sports and recreation to ministry and music. I love this campus (and town) and all it has to offer, and I hope you will too!

Describe your college experience

I was extraordinarily nervous coming into college, having never been away from my family before, but it's truly been the best years of my life so far. I've loved the independence and have made incredible friendships while thoroughly enjoying my academics and extracurriculars.

Tip for future students

My top tips, especially for freshman year, is to take full advantage of the welcome week events (and other scattered events throughout the year) to try new things, make new friends, and get as much free food and merchandise as possible.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been neuroendocrinology (nervous regulation of the endocrine responses), because it integrated the neuro-circuitry I'd been learning in my other classes with bodily processes that were relevant in my day to day life. The class was heavily based on diagramming and focused on making sure we understood how all the pieces worked together to create the big picture.

Career goals

I hope to enter into a DPT program after graduation, and work in TBI and trauma rehab.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My favorite evening activity is Sinkland Farms with my friends when they host a line dancing event!
