Wake Forest 2025 | Engineering | Consulting PwC
Hi there! My name is Amogh, I am a recent college grad from Wake Forest University and majored in Engineering during my undergrad. I was a member of various clubs and societies as well as Greek Life. I have lived in Winston-Salem for 9 years now and so I know my way around. I am going to be working in consulting with PwC this fall and would love to pass on some wisdom and my favorite parts about my undergraduate journey at Wake.

Describe your college experience
It was interesting going to Wake as a local as I thought I would be missing out on a “true” college experience far from home; however, Wake and the people I met were absolutely amazing. It is absolutely a work hard play even harder school — everybody is incredibly smart and driven, however, prioritize balance and socializing as well. The support net amongst professors and the resources to land internships and jobs are amazing and I have rarely met a student regret coming to Wake.
Tip for future students
Put yourself out there, keep your door open freshmen year and try and meet as many people as you can. Grab lunch with different people, go out, make study groups, etc. Try and just socialize as much as possible those first couple weeks. Prioritize time management and don’t slack off with work, it’s easy to underestimate the work load and lose yourself in a hole later down the road. It is hard being fully independent for many aspects of your life for the first time so take it step by step. Finally, start internship and job searches earlier than you think and use upperclassmen as resources — they’re glad to help.
Favorite class
Engineering 314 Senior Capstone — it was the culmination of so many hills and valleys within the major. The entire major is so close with each other because the department is quite niche at Wake, and by the end you get to see the hard work and determination of so many seniors come to fruition in some absolutely amazing projects. Examples being an electric boat, a pediatric heart valve for infants, a hydroelectric power buoy, and more.
Career goals
I will be working in consulting at PwC in DC. I will be specifically in healthcare consulting to leverage some of my experiences and knowledge in biomedicine.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I absolutely loved going out with friends on a free night and making new memories — but regardless of going out or staying in, I just wanted to ensure I was having a good time with other people I cared about.
