At Penn State, I’ve had an incredible journey of academic growth, leadership, and service. As a Political Science major with an Ethics minor, I’ve conducted meaningful research, served as a THON Chair, and built a strong foundation in both critical thinking and community engagement. From campus involvement to personal transformation, my time at Penn State has truly shaped who I am today

Tip for future students
Get involved early and don’t be afraid to ask for help—Penn State is full of resources, but you have to seek them out. I wish I’d known how important it is to build relationships with professors and advisors early on. Also, take time to explore what you’re passionate about—college isn’t just about the degree, it’s about discovering who you are.
Favorite class
My favorite class was Political Theory—it pushed me to think deeply about justice, power, and human nature. We read philosophers like Hobbes, Locke, and Rousseau, and I loved how the course challenged me to apply their ideas to real-world issues. It sparked a lot of personal growth and shaped the way I approach complex problems.
Career goals
After college, I hope to work in research or policy analysis, ideally for the government or a nonprofit. I’m passionate about using data and critical thinking to solve real-world problems and make a positive impact—especially in areas like justice reform, public health, or international relations.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal night off blends fitness and fun in downtown State College. I’d start with a workout at the IM Building or a group fitness class, then head downtown to enjoy live music at The State Theatre or explore local eateries and shops.
