Describe your college experience

I came into college as a freshman connections student and I was an information systems major. While I really enjoyed my first year in college I learned that information systems was not for me and I changed my major to be an early childhood education and Special education major. While these majors are very different as a junior I know feel like I am doing something I love and am passionate about.

Tip for future students

I think what I wish I had known is that you can try new things and that you don't have to have it all figured out. It is okay to not know your major or future plans and just figure it out as you go.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been Promoting the Social-Emotional Competency of Young Children in Inclusive Classrooms. I think this class has really helped me reflect and help me become a better educator.

Career goals

I want to become a teacher in preschool or kindergarten in Maryland.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Ideally after all the school work has done I would spend some time with friends doing something fun and spontaneous.
