Describe your college experience

Starting college felt like a big step, but I was excited to learn how to be independent and make the most of it. I’ve had such a fun time meeting new people, getting involved in Greek life, and finding a good balance between classes and social life. I’ve really enjoyed building close friendships with my roommates and friends as it’s made college feel like home!

Tip for future students

There’s definitely a work hard, play hard mentality at Michigan—people are super driven, but they also know how to have fun. Be ready to grind, especially during exams, but know that the energy here is unmatched. It’s truly my favorite place, and there’s so much to get involved in if you put yourself out there!

Favorite class

Interestingly enough, my favorite class so far was Chemistry 210 (organic chemistry 1) with Professor Nolta. My professor was super energetic and passionate about chemistry, which made me feel the same! While very challenging, it was by far one of the most rewarding classes because I learned so much and became passionate about what I was learning.

Career goals

I hope to attend medical school and become a doctor!

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal night off is just hanging out with friends—whether we’re grabbing dinner, going on a walk through campus, or just talking for hours. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just good company and good vibes.
