Describe your college experience
I had a tough freshman year with not so great of a roommate experience in the dorms. I was really nervous about moving away from home and knew nobody from my highschool. Slowly but surely I kept putting myself out there, got involved, and found that Michigan is one of my favorite places on earth. It wasn’t until the end of first semester of sophomore year that I really felt at home though and that’s ok! Now there is nowhere else i’d rather me and I love living in Ann Arbor with my new best friends.
Tip for future students
You WILL find your people even if it doesn’t happen right away or even freshman year. College is so much bigger than highschool and if you put yourself out there you will find the crowd that is perfect for you.
Favorite class
AES 221 (Physiology Lab)- The small class size really helps you connect with your peers while completing super fun exercise physiology experiments every week. We got to use DEXA, BIA, and VO2 Max technology and learned how to apply lecture material in a clinical setting.
Career goals
I want to be a Functional Medicine doctor and work in the holistic health field. I am very passionate about nutrition, physical activity, and helping patients find the root cause of their health concerns.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Watching dancing with the stars and eating charcuterie with my friends.
