Boston College
Current BC Senior & Incoming Graduate Student
Hello! I am a graduating senior at Boston College studying Secondary Education and Biology, and I will be pursuing my masters degree in the Lynch School of Education & Human Development in September. I've absolutely loved my past four years here and everything BC has to offer, from the amazing academic opportunities to the strong sense of campus community and especially to the life-long friends I've made. I am available to meet both online and in-person throughout the summer months and beyond, and I can't wait to help you get to know BC better and give you honest and informed answers to all your questions!

Describe your college experience
BC has been my home for the past four years, and I'm so grateful to have another year here. While college hasn't always been easy, as is often the case, the payoff has been more than worth it. I look back to my freshman self, who had to take her second semester off due to illness, and wish I could tell her that everything will turn out better than ok. The academic rigor and seemingly limitless extracurricular opportunities may seem daunting at first, but you will find your community and your people. I did, and I couldn't be happier with my choice to attend BC.
Tip for future students
Balance is everything. Time management is the most important skill to have, as you can't give 100% of your energy to 100% of what you do. Burnout is real, and if you don't give yourself time to rest while working towards your goals, then you are setting yourself up for failure. Professors are people too! Don't be scared to advocate for yourself and communicate your needs. Comparison is the thief of joy, especially at BC. This school is full of high achievers, which I'm sure you are as well, and many people here have a lot of resources at their disposal. It's not worth constantly comparing yourself to those around you - as long as you feel fulfilled then that's what matters.
Favorite class
Women in Blues (music history class) - incredible professor, class time consisted of us listening to and learning about all variations of the blues and other genres, only two assignments were a podcast midterm and a historical narrative final paper, 10/10 class
