North Carolina State University
Current NC State Sophomore
Hi! My name is Jace and I am a rising sophomore at NC State University. I pride myself on fully immersing myself into the campus culture and this experience has made me very knowledgeable about my school in a very short amount of time. I would love to lead tours and encourage students to take part in the Wolfpack culture that I’ve grown to love.

Describe your college experience
Through amazing sporting events, incredible professors, a welcoming community of students, and more I have been accepted into the NC State community very quickly. I learned in the first week just how kind and welcoming my fellow students were which lead me to forming a strong and tightly connected group of friends very quickly. In my classes amazing in class and in the field experiences have helped me fall more in love with a major and a field that has intrigued me since I was a child. Whether I was feeling going out and doing something fun or staying in and relaxing, there was always something for me with the exciting atmosphere of Raleigh mixed with a campus that seems to never be void of something fun to do. Overall in just 1 year at State I have grown to love it.
Tip for future students
Make sure you put yourself out there in those first couple of days, even if you are nervous just putting yourself out there can lead to amazing friendships and experiences. Join clubs, go to sporting games and other events, make connections with your professors, and make sure you don’t overpack.
Favorite class
BIO 183 as it gave me a deeper dive into my favorite subject of biology, beyond what I learned in AP Biology in high school. The lab plus in class group work opportunities helped me to greatly expand my knowledge.
Career goals
I hope to become a wildlife biologist and spend my days outdoors working in the field to make our earth a better place.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Going to backyard concerts, attending one of the many sporting events, hanging out with my friends around campus, etc.
