Describe your college experience

My transition to college was a bit rough. My junior and senior years of high school were largely online because of the pandemic, so the transition to in-person college classes was difficult. In time, I found my way and learned how to best study and manage my time. Once I found my passions, my college experience became much better.

Tip for future students

1. Get involved early! The best people you meet will be through organizations and clubs that interest you! 2. You are a person first, a student second. 3. Make your college experience YOURS. You do not have to engage in the "stereotypical" college life to have a great experience.

Favorite class

My favorite class for my major was probably ANSC 201 with Dale Olver. It was the first animal-related course I took, and it solidified that I was in the right major and was passionate about the material.

Career goals

I hope to get my veterinary technician certification and work in shelter medicine!

Ideal way to spend a free night

Staying in and hanging out with my dog, or having a chill night out with friends.
