Describe your college experience
So far I have had an amazing college experience. UNC Chapel Hill has exceeded any expectation I ever had. I have met the people I will be friends with for life and have had opportunities I've dreamed of having. This truly is such a special place to me, and I could rave about it all day long. I am beyond thankful for the academic, social, and personal experiences that I have had here.
Tip for future students
Put yourself out there and try new things even if it feels uncomfortable. College is about finding who you really are! Hang out with new people, join an interesting club, or take a class that you would typically never take.
Favorite class
My favorite class at Chapel Hill has been Intro to Jazz (MUSC145). I took this class as a general education requirement. As a psychology major and pre-dental student, my classes are typically STEM courses and I wouldn't normally take a class like Intro to Jazz without the FC-aesthetic requirement, but I'm so glad that I did. I learned so much about the history of Jazz and had an amazing professor who immersed the class in the music as well. It was a challenging and interesting course that I would recommend to anyone.
Career goals
After college, I hope to attend dental school to become a dentist.
Ideal way to spend a free night
On a free night I like to spend time with my friends. There are so many good restaurants on Franklin Street or even in Carrboro that we love going to! Some of my favorites are Que Chula, Spicy 9, and Napoli. We also like to go to lacrosse or baseball games in the Spring when the weather is nicer.
