Describe your college experience

Transitioning to college was both exciting and challenging, but the University of South Carolina quickly became my home. From navigating my first classes to getting involved on campus, I’ve grown academically and personally. USC’s welcoming community, rich traditions, and countless opportunities have shaped my experience, and I love being part of such a spirited environment.

Tip for future students

Get involved early! Whether it’s joining a student organization, attending campus events, or connecting with professors, taking advantage of USC’s opportunities will make your college experience more fulfilling. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone—try new things, meet new people, and embrace everything Carolina has to offer, and always be sure to stay focused on your responsibilities!

Favorite class

My favorite classes so far have been Theatre Fundamentals and Biology. Theatre Fundamentals allowed me to step out of my comfort zone, build confidence, and appreciate the art of storytelling. On the other hand, Biology fascinated me with its hands-on learning and real-world applications. Both classes challenged me in different ways and made my college experience even more exciting.

Career goals

I hope to be able to continue my education after my undergraduate by attending a medical school! I have hopes to work hard and earn a Doctorate, and become a Physician for the U.S. Army in order to travel the world and help as many people as I can at the same time!

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is a mix of productivity and social time. Whether I’m studying to stay on top of my classes or hanging out with my fraternity brothers, I also enjoy exploring new experiences, whether it’s trying out a local restaurant, attending a campus event, or simply having a deep discussion about life and ambitions. For me, a perfect night is one where I feel accomplished yet still connected to the people around me.
