Describe your college experience
Transitioning to college can be very stressful and challenging, especially as an out of state student. However, the community at UMD made this transition as easy as possible! There are many opportunities within the first few weeks of school that help acclimate freshman to their new environment. The First Look fair is an amazing opportunity to explore what clubs and organizations UMD has to offer. The people at UMD are very welcoming and supportive with events to welcome new students on campus. Coming to UMD was the best decision, I can’t wait to help other students fall in love with the school as well!
Tip for future students
It is totally normal to feel anxious about starting a new school! Don’t worry about finding your people right away, you will settle in before you know it!
Favorite class
My favorite class was ENSP370 Environmental Justice with my favorite professor Joanna Goger. The class was an in depth look at how environmental problems disproportionately affect marginalized communities. It was very informative and interesting, and Professor Goger is an amazing teacher! I highly recommend the class to anyone, not just environmental science majors.
Career goals
After college I plan to attend University College Dublin to get my masters in environmental and climate law.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night is hanging out with my roommates, playing games and watching a show or movie.
