Describe your college experience
It’s been amazing. I’ve been able to meet new people and make a lot of friends. FSU is great for getting involved and meeting people. The classes have been pretty good so far and I love being able to actually pick the ones I take. The food is alright for what it is and the dorms aren’t too bad either depending on your location. I lucked out with honors dorms so they’re pretty good.
Tip for future students
My best advice is to involved immediately. Join clubs and go to events, don’t just sit in your dorm on your phone, make sure you actually experience college life. Also don’t ignore the office hours and tutoring options available. Also if you’re into 3D printers there is a free lab for students. I found out about this last semester and it’s been a game changer.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been physical anthropology with Dr. Thomas. It was super interesting because we did a deep dive into evolutionary biology and primatology. It was super cool and Dr. Thomas is an amazing teacher. I highly recommend it and the adjoining lab for your science and lab credit.
Career goals
I hope to be a professor of anthropology and do some forensic anthropology on the side.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I really enjoy either going to the gym with my roommate or hanging out with my friends bowling or playing (and losing at) Mario cart. During the sports seasons I also really enjoy going to basketball or football games. The energy is infectious even when we’re loosing.
