Describe your college experience
Being a business student at the University of Tennessee has been one of the most exciting and challenging experiences of my life. My days are packed, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Between classes in marketing, finance, and management, I'm constantly learning new things that I can see myself applying in the real world someday. Outside of class, I'm involved in a ton of activities. I'm part of a few clubs, entrepreneurship group, where I've met some incredible people and had the chance to work on projects that really push me. I also play in a couple of intramural sports leagues—it’s such a fun way to blow off steam and stay active. Greek life is another big part of my college experience. It’s given me a sense of community, opportunities to give back through philanthropy, and, of course, some amazing memories with my brothers/sisters. On top of all that, I work part-time to help cover expenses and gain some professional experience. It can be a lot to juggle, and sometimes I feel like I’m running from one thing to the next, but I’ve learned so much about time management and prioritizing what’s important. It’s not always easy, but every late night, early morning, and packed day is worth it. I’m building skills, friendships, and memories that I know will stay with me long after I leave Rocky Top.
Tip for future students
Try everything, explore all options, go to as many extracurricular events as you can, join clubs, and go to all SPORTING EVENTS!
Favorite class
Global Strategy- Its a class where you have to build a company from the ground up, making very financial and strategic decisions on your business. It gives you a taste of real world business problems. The class on its own is a fantastic building block for young entrepreneurs.
Career goals
I hope to be in a sales role when I graduate but I may also work in real estate!
