Clubs, organizations & involvement

While I am still finding the time to join some specific clubs, I hold leadership positions in classes and among my peers. Specific examples include my science lab courses where I guided my peers to success and demonstrated how to perform difficult tasks. I am also actively applying to be an LA for some computer science related courses to give back to the community.

Describe your college experience

As an out of state student, I travelled far and almost entirely alone to Florida State. While nervous, I was excited and made the best of the situation. I immediately became best friends with my roommate and we formed a tight friend group within a week of our freshman year. Since then, we have done nothing but make positive and exciting memories. I almost always have a friend in my classes, or anywhere else on campus I may go. The community is strong, supportive, and kind.

Tip for future students

Branch out! Don't be afraid to put yourself out there. It may be intimidating, but the results will be immense. Had I not pushed myself to meet new people, I would have missed out on some incredible college experiences. Pushing myself to try new things and meet new people has taken me all over Florida, and all over the world. New friends have created experiences for me in Hawaii, Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia, and more! You will find your people, and you will soar!

Favorite class

My favorite class has been COP3330, Object Oriented Programming with C++. This course provides a large amount of information that serves as the basis for my major. Therefore, I found it very interesting and received lots of support from my professor when I was stuck!

Career goals

After college, I hope to work as a remote software engineer so I have the ability to travel the world while writing program.

Ideal way to spend a free night

The ideal way to spend a free night would be hanging out with my friends. Either having a nice dinner and staying in and throwing on a movie, or head out to the bars and experience some social night life! College bars in Tallahassee are 18+, meaning we can still go and hangout!
