Chance - Senior at UNC Chapel Hill
Hey! I'm Chance, a senior at UNC Chapel Hill studying Business. Born and raised in North Carolina, I’ve been a Tar Heel fan my whole life. I’ve played baseball and basketball pretty much forever, and these days I love going to games and cheering on the Tar Heels. When I’m not at school, you can usually find me at the beach, playing guitar, or out on the golf course. I’m excited about the chance to share what life at UNC is really like with future students!

Describe your college experience
Coming to UNC was a dream come true. I’ve made amazing friends, taken exciting classes, and truly love college life. Every day is a mix of fun and new experiences, and I couldn’t be prouder to call myself a Tar Heel. At the same time, I take my classes seriously and really enjoy the opportunity to learn and grow. It’s been everything I hoped for and more!
Tip for future students
My biggest tip is to get involved early! Join as many clubs and organizations as you can during your first two years—it’s the best way to find your passions and meet people. Also, don’t just stick to the same two friends every day. Go out of your way to start conversations, meet new people, and branch out. College is the perfect time to network, try new things, and expand your horizons.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been BUSI 500. In this class, we created a business and raised money to help make a Make-A-Wish kid’s dream come true. It was an exciting, hands-on experience that taught me real-world skills far beyond the textbook. On top of that, knowing our work had a meaningful impact and changed someone’s life made it even more special.
Career goals
After college, I’m excited to start my career as a Strategy Analyst at Deloitte! I’m thrilled to dive into strategy consulting because I enjoy the intense, collaborative environment and the challenge of solving complex, impactful problems for some of the biggest companies in the world. It’s an amazing opportunity, and I can’t wait to get started.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal free night is hanging out with friends around a fire, grilling some steaks, and just relaxing. We’d play games like cornhole, ping pong, or pool, and finish the night by watching a good football game. It’s the perfect way to unwind and have fun!
