University of Pennsylvania
New, but acclimated Penn student! 😄
My name is Alicja and I’m a freshman at UPenn. After getting lost here many times myself, I’ve become great at navigating around campus (including food spots!). I’m happy to give personalized tours based on your interests! I applied here last year, so I can also speak to the application process and give some tips. 😉

Describe your college experience
I’m not going to say it’s easy. Even as the valedictorian of my high school, I find academics (especially exams) to be very difficult here (even as a social sciences major). Also, Penn’s reputation about being extremely competitive is very much true. On the bright side, my housing experience has been great, and I’ve already made close friends! Happy to talk more about my experience on a tour! 😄
Favorite class
EESC 2300: Global Climate Change My professor is very well known in the climate science space, having authored very notable work. He regularly appears on TV and writes super interesting articles in the news. The class is not only based on science, but also on the public’s perception of it. It is at 8:30 AM though so dedication is key!
Career goals
I hope to pursue a career in sustainability consulting, specifically focused on ensuring sustainable supply chains.

Chilling in my dorm with friends, talking about random things and watching a movie!
