I was a part of the fencing club, and currently am a member of the chemistry club and work in a lab on campus.

Describe your college experience

Transition to college was a little rocky, I wasn't entirely prepared for it but found a good community in the dorms. I got involved with a research lab on campus. I moved into an apartment off campus with a friend from the dorms, switched my major and joined a different research lab and have been going strong ever since. Lots of studying with friends and pizza!

Tip for future students

To research the opportunities afforded to you at each university - especially if you are thinking about grad school or where you want to work in the future. Really just about how to find resources that are available and that you should use them and talk to people who are experienced in this!

Favorite class

Teaching and learning chemistry! Hands down my favorite class, the instructor was amazing, and the content was delightful and thought provoking. It examined pedegogical methods in the specific context of chemistry which is one of my favorite niches.

Career goals

Grad school - study reticular chemistry and teach.

Ideal way to spend a free night

cooking and then doing crafts with my boyfriend or game night with friends.

There's a little cabin on the west side of the main campus that's a great study spot and it has a courtyard that's usually empty.
