SchoolScoops Opens Private, Student-Guided Tours at Coastal Carolina University
CONWAY, S.C. — September 18, 2026 — SchoolScoops, a platform connecting prospective college students and families with current student guides for private, peer-led campus tours, today announced the launch of private, student-led campus tours at Coastal Carolina University. Prospective Chanticleers and their families can now book a one-on-one Coastal Carolina campus tour with a current CCU student, in addition to the university's official campus visit options.
SchoolScoops now covers 100+ colleges and universities nationwide, with 2,400+ current student guides who average a 4.98 out of 5 tour rating.
“Families considering Coastal want an honest read on student life, from academics to housing to free time near Myrtle Beach,” said a co-founder of SchoolScoops. “That is what our CCU guides deliver, in their own words and at a pace that works for the family.”
What Families Can Expect
- Current CCU students as guides, listed by year, major, and interests
- One- or two-hour tours, with requests confirmed within 24 hours or matched to a compatible guide
- Virtual tours by video chat for families who cannot travel to Conway
Guides set their own availability, so families can find a time that fits their travel plans, and each guide's profile is visible before a tour request is sent. Tours are led entirely by current students and run independently of CCU admissions. SchoolScoops is not affiliated with or endorsed by the university. Families can compare formats by reviewing CCU's weekday campus tours, then browse Coastal Carolina guides or learn how SchoolScoops works.
