Describe your college experience
My college experience at Texas A&M has been nothing short of unforgettable. I started during the COVID era, which definitely made things challenging at first—meeting new people and building connections wasn’t easy when everything was virtual or restricted. But looking back, those early days were still meaningful. Living in the dorms helped me form close bonds with the people around me. Despite the circumstances, Aggieland still found ways to bring the spirit alive, especially during football season, which never disappoints! As the years went on and campus life returned to normal, everything truly opened up. From organization mixers and volunteering events to football games and cherished A&M traditions, every moment has added to a college experience I’ll always be grateful for. I’ve had the chance to meet and connect with so many incredible people, and every new interaction has made this journey even richer. Texas A&M has become a true home away from home for me, full of growth, memories, and lifelong friendships.
Tip for future students
Don’t Be Afraid to Put Yourself Out There Starting college can feel overwhelming, but don’t let fear hold you back. Whether it’s saying hi to someone new or joining a student org, just go for it—even if it feels a little awkward at first. Embrace the Spirit (Even If It Feels Cringy at First) Yell Practice, wild traditions, Aggie chants—it might seem a little much in the beginning, but once you dive in, it becomes part of the fun. Trust me, the more you lean into the Aggie spirit, the more unforgettable your experience will be. Football Season is a Must You don’t have to know all the rules to enjoy a game. The energy, the crowd, and the traditions make it an experience like no other. Just being there is something every Aggie should experience at least once (but you’ll want to go every game!). Try All the Food Spots Around Campus Don’t stick to the same place—College Station has some hidden gems. Whether it’s food trucks, local BBQ joints, or late-night spots, exploring the food scene is half the fun. Get Involved in Student Life Joining clubs, going to events, volunteering—it’s the best way to stay busy, meet new people, and create memories. There’s something for everyone, so don’t be afraid to try new things. Make It Your Own Everyone’s college experience looks different. Be open to what comes your way, take chances, and enjoy the ride. Texas A&M has a way of becoming home in the most unexpected and meaningful ways.
Favorite class
Even though I’m majoring in Communication, taking a horticulture class ended up being one of the best decisions I made. I learned all about different plants, floral design, and how to care for them, and honestly, it was such a fun break from my usual coursework. We even got to make beautiful bouquets in class, which I loved! My apartment had never looked prettier than it did that semester, filled with fresh flowers and arrangements I made myself. It just goes to show that stepping outside your major or comfort zone can lead to the most memorable experiences. Whether it’s horticulture, dance, photography, or anything else that sparks your interest, take that random class; you never know what you’ll end up loving!
Career goals
I plan to stay right here in Aggieland to pursue my master’s degree in Construction Science. This program has already given me such a strong foundation, and I’m looking forward to diving even deeper into the field. After graduate school, my goal is to take over my father’s construction company in Austin. It’s something I’ve grown up around, and I’m passionate about continuing the legacy and helping it grow.
Ideal way to spend a free night
When I’m not giving tours or studying, I love making the most of my free time! I stay pretty busy with real estate, I’m licensed and enjoy learning the ins and outs of the industry whenever I can. I’m also always up for an adventure, so traveling is a big passion of mine. Some of my favorite moments, though, are the simple ones, spending time with family or enjoying a fun date night with my boyfriend. Whether we’re trying a new restaurant, catching a game, or just relaxing, it’s those moments that help me recharge and stay balanced.
