Excited & Successful Senior | Human Bio Major, Pre-Health, Honors, Greek Life
Hi! I'm a Raleigh native and a senior Human Biology major that's found success on the pre-health track. I've been deeply involved on campus from living in the dorms my first year, to my sorority house sophomore year, and off campus since. I started my college journey pre-med and have had a wide range of experiences, including becoming an EMT, volunteering at local hospitals and clinics, interning with the campus food pantry, studying abroad, and doing research in Memphis, TN. All of these experiences led me to discover my true passion: dentistry. I’m incredibly grateful to have been accepted to UNC’s dental school, and I’m excited to share what I’ve learned along the way. I love our Wolfpack community and would be thrilled to help future students find their own path here!

Describe your college experience
My college experience at NC State has been incredible. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the Wolfpack community, and over the years, it’s truly become home. I came in a little shy, but the people here helped bring me out of my shell, whether it was through classes, my sorority, or campus involvement. I’ve met some of the most genuine, supportive people and built friendships and memories I’ll always be grateful for. I love every part of our campus, and I can’t imagine a better place to grow both personally and academically.
Tip for future students
My biggest tip for future students is to try a little bit of everything! I joined clubs for things I’d never done before and ended up meeting some of my closest friends through them. Be friendly with everyone you meet, you never know who might become a lifelong friend! I’m still close with people I met my very first year. Most importantly, I'd say be your most authentic self. College is just as much about personal growth as it is about academics, so embrace every experience and allow yourself to grow into who you’re meant to be.
Favorite class
My favorite class would definitely be anything in the sciences, but if I had to choose, it would be a course I’m taking right now called Physics in the Brain. I picked it as an elective because it sounded interesting, and I’m so glad I did. What’s great about electives is that you often get the best professors who are passionate, engaging, and really take the time to connect with you. I love this course because NC State really emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, and this class blends two fascinating subjects in a way that’s both approachable and engaging, not overwhelming at all!
Career goals
After college, my goal is to attend dental school, where I’ll either specialize or work as a compassionate, patient-centered dentist. I want to build strong connections with my patients and make a positive impact in their lives. I also hope to continue my passion for learning, growing both professionally and personally as I progress in my career.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal night would definitely be spent hanging out with friends, whether we're watching an NC State or Hurricanes game, enjoying a TV show, or having a game night. I’ve made some amazing friends here, and spending time with them is always a blast. When a night with friends isn’t in the cards, I love winding down with a good book or having a self-care night, binge-watching a TV show and just relaxing!
