Hi, I’m Sonali! I’m a freshman pre-med psychology major with a cybersecurity minor! I’m also a Cisco certified cybersecurity technician, and I’d love to help anybody who is interested in that track as well! I came to Hofstra from Queens, which was a huge step for me as I had never really explored Long Island before, and all I have to say is that it was the best decision ever. You’ll probably catch me hanging out with my friends in the pride den, studying for my next exam in Breslin hall’s lounge area, or playing pool in the gameroom. Describe your college experience

Transitioning from high school to college at Hofstra was scary, but I quickly got used to life at Hofstra because of how nice and welcoming everyone is.

Tip for future students

When people say that your best day in high school is your worst day in college, believe them, as college is a million times better than high school ever could be, even though there is a lot of work and studying, it’s manageable because of the resources and the environment college gives you.

Favorite class

Psych 011(behavior modification) because I am great at the content and the professor is extremely funny and helpful

Career goals

I would like to be a clinical psychiatrist as my future career, but right after college I’m going to medical school and joining the national guard in order to fund medical school.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I would take a really long shower and make a cup of tea right after, then I would put on WWE or AEW reruns and I would make loom bracelets for my siblings. Then I’d go to bed early.

Favorite spot on campus

the lounge at breslin hall because it’s always quiet and chill, plus it was the first lounge my best friend and I hung out at on our first day of college, so it’s quite special to me.
