Hi! My name is Luka and I hope to major in Political Science or PPE. I have always been interested in how the world works and how nations interact with each other and so political science and PPE spoke to me. My home town is DC and I came from a big school. I always wanted to go to a big school and was initially sceptical about coming to Davidson, however my time here has been nothing short of amazing. I can show you the best places to hit workouts, play some sports for fun, or where the best food is, as well as showing you the best places to study. I can't wait to meet you all!

Describe your college experience

Coming from a big high school (~2300 students) I wanted to come to a big college and was scared of the small size. Coming to Davidson however I realized how important a tight community of people you can trust is, and how beneficial it is to be able to have your classes taught by a professor rather than a graduate student which would be the case at a large research university.

Tip for future students

Seek discomfort. If you're introverted, go out there and meet new people and make interpersonal connnections. If you don't like sports trying joining a club sports team. (Everyone here is way more friendly than you expect). Make sure to have enough time to live your life and not absorb yourself with homework.

Favorite class

International Political Economy (IPE). I get to learn and understand how economics plays a role in the political world. Effectivly learning true motives behind policy making and how the world works.

Career goals

I hope to hopefully go to graduate school and achieve a Masters in political science or PPE. Or possibly get job in those fields.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Play pick-up basketball with friends at the Baker sports center. Head over to commons with friends for dinner. Head to the Union to see if any events are happening and play some ping-pong or pool. Head home to wind down and watch some Youtube or play games with friends from home.

The union. There are always people there you can socialize with and always some events going on. The vibe in general is very cheerful and great to be in.
