Hi! I’m Aresia, a freshman that is undecided but is interested in Computer Science! I knew 3 people while coming to Davidson but, now I can call Davidson my home and I’ve only been here a short time! You can find me everywhere because I’m almost never in my dorm unless I’m sleep so I know just about everything on campus now! I love the culture at Davidson and soon you’ll be able to call Davidson your home! I am more than happy to show you around the campus and my favorite spots, hidden gems, coffee spots and give the real about Davidson College! Describe your college experience
At first I was a bit worried about coming because I am not a social person, but everyone I’ve met is extremely welcoming! You can speak to anyone on campus without having to know them and you can laugh and smile with them and that’s something I had to get used to but it is also how I made my friends.
Tip for future students
Time management is a big thing! Make time for your work but also make time to go out and do things. It’ll help you learn yourself and help you visualize the life you want to have!
Favorite class
DAN- 240 A, it is a modern dance class and it is my favorite because it isn’t just about dancing or being perfect, it’s about learning one’s body and it helps me outside of the classroom. Every time I leave the classroom, I feel elevated and I leave in a better way than I came in!
Career goals
I want to do something that involves Computer Science and Music! I would love to create music through coding!

Favorite spot on campus
Union or chambers. I spend most of my time in both of these places after my classes. I can go to both and find somewhere to study and talk to my friends which allows me to be motivated to keep doing my work. Union has moments where it is quiet but also moments where it is lively and I enjoy the balance!
