Hi, I'm Rachel! Im a freshman at MSU's college of agriculture studying a mix between crop topics and education. One of the things that pulled me towards this more than anything was the depth you reach in topics like insects, flowers, and even some animal cycles. In my free time i love to color and go on walks but im also always up to watch political drama or a good tv show. I love to talk, especially when i get the chance to educate people on things they're interested in, and im always up for a good laugh.

Describe your college experience

I have 4 siblings and live with both parents so i've never been alone. moving to college was definitely a wake up to me, but MSU makes it completely worth it. everyone is so supportive of you and strangers are so open to conversation.

Tip for future students

Don't be scared to meet new people. everyone is in the same boat as you and most likely will be just as nervous to break new shells.

Favorite class

Horticulture, i love bugs and its honestly pretty funny to see everyone else get so grossed out

Career goals

I hope to become an agriculture teacher either in secondary education or a more farm based setting.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love listening to music or politics, and coloring in a fun coloring book, i also love painting my nails and going on walks.

Volleyball, i've played volleyball for about 7 years and MSU has always been one of my favorite big 10 teams. they play with so much energy and have everything under control.
