Hi! I'm Eva, a Junior majoring in Environmental Systems; Environmental Policy! I have been involved on campus since the moment I arrived in San Diego. I started working at UCSD's library the day before my first-year classes even started, and since then I have had great experiences as a student, employee, and community member at UCSD. Now, I also work at Birch Aquarium (which is part of UCSD's ocean-side section of campus!), am an officer in UCSD's Model United Nations Club, and am a volunteer at the Triton Food Pantry. When I'm not busy with those activities, you might find me in a campus recreation class, cozy in my apartment crocheting, or trying new food in San Diego. I can confidently say that I know my way around campus because I spent countless hours walking through campus to preform inspections when I worked in my Sophomore year as an intern with UCSD's Environment, Health, and Safety department. However, my favorite campus area will always be Seventh College, where I lived for two years before moving off-campus!

Although being at such a large university has been challenging for me at times, I have found caring professors, kind peers, and a variety of campus opportunities at UCSD.

Tip for future students

My best advice is to open to new things. New friends, new subjects, new hobbies, and new opportunities will be available in college.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been Philosophy and the Environment because it introduced me to several concepts that enhanced my perspectives on what is living, deserving of rights, and should be part of moral consideration.

Career goals

I hope to have a job in Environmental Compliance and eventually earn a Master's Degree that will align with my specific career niche.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is to cook dinner, watch a movie, and get ice cream with friends.

My favorite study spot is the WongAvery Library because it is calmer and quieter than the main campus library, Geisel.
