Describe your college experience
My transition into college was a bit hectic. I never scheduled any visits or went to any orientation’s, so it felt that my entire class was ahead of me. However, during welcome week I really made myself navigate throughout campus, figure out the bus systems, and walked my class schedule to get a good grasp on how I would flow through campus. Overall my experience has been great! I am definitely a four seasons person, and a big fan of the cold weather so this was definitely the place to be. Michigan state offers so many great opportunities from clubs to social events, the school really takes care of its students.
Tip for future students
Best tips for incoming students is to truly apply and involve yourself in the classes that you’re taking. Being in college is something you’re choosing to do, and when you stop viewing classes as a chore and a check in the grade book, but rather a new opportunity for you to learn about topics you chose, you will get a better experience then more then half of your peers.
Favorite class
My favorite class this past year was my Philosophy class in the fall (PHL 130). This class had lots of interesting topics, but also posed challenges to me based on the curriculum and the location of the class. Both of those factors really helped get me up to speed with a college class workload, and a better time management plan.
Career goals
I would like to find a sales job of some type. I have been told I would fit well in a sales role, and I want to see what that career path is all about
Ideal way to spend a free night
Ideal night for me is spending it with people. I never found myself being very picky about what we did, as long as my group of friends were doing it with me I was 100 percent in!

Favorite spot on campus
Definitely the international center. It offers everything you need when you have a quick break during the school day. You can grab a quick bite, it has a variety of different resource centers you can seek help in, and also has plenty of quiet seating areas for you to study or just take a beat during the school day.
