3rd Year | History (Pre-Law) Major | Billingual
Hi my name is Amaris (uh-mar-is)! I came to UGA as a skeptical first year yet, these past 3 years I have fallen in love with the school and campus! I'm a history major on the pre-law track and have had a great experience in the department. I've been able to have internships in court houses and museums as well as participating in a domestic field study in South Carolina! In my free time, I love going thrifting, collecting Pokémon cards, playing my bass, and filling up my SD card on my digital camera! I'll give you the inside details of what it's like being a UGA student. The honesty of my own experience in academics, professional experience, and social life!

Describe your college experience
I was admitted as a first-generation college student. I came into college with little idea of what to expect however, I have been able to have a great experience because of the community I found at UGA. I've met lots of people despite being a more reserved person at a huge school.
Tip for future students
Try everything! Join a random obscure club you'll surprise yourself with the people you meet. Also train on the stair master, the hills here are no joke.
Favorite class
Law, Justice, and the State The definition of work hard play hard. One of the most challenging courses open to pre-law students, yet one of the most interesting and passionate ones! Shout out Dr. Sawyer.
Career goals
Currently studying for my LSAT. Hoping to go to law school to become a human rights/immigration lawyer!
Ideal way to spend a free night
Grabbing coffee or boba with some friends, hitting up a thrift store, and ending the night off with a movie. 10/10 night.
High school or secondary school
Columbus High School
Favorite spot on campus
North Campus! Beautiful buildings and great views! Also super aesthetic during the fall.
Meeting point
UGA Arch on the University of Georgia campus
