I'm an outgoing business economics major that loves living the college life.
Hey! I'm Aarav, a sophomore as a pre business economics major. I was born in Atlanta but I've moved all over the world but ended up back in the US for UCLA. I've fallen absolutely in love with everything UCLA has to offer, with the massive amount of on campus opportunities to the dining hall food that I never get tired of. I'm often found in the Study at Hedrick, where I'll usually be doing anything but studying. I can tell you all about the best food orders on campus and how to get the most bang for your buck. Trust me, all my friends come to me when they want to try something new. I love exploring Westwood and LA, and I'd love nothing more to share my experiences so you know what life is like at UCLA and the things you should and (way more importantly) should NOT do to make the most out of your time here.

Describe your college experience
Coming to college initially was very daunting, and it was easy to feel lonely amongst so many people around you all the time. I made a few friends initially, but then I made much deeper friendships eventually through mutual friends and clubs. I've grown to love UCLA because I've realized that there's always something or the other happening, and it urges me to aspire to always be doing more.
Tip for future students
Make lots of friends in the place you live. I didn't make an effort to get to know all my neighbors and floormates, since I thought I already had enough friends, but you should never stop meeting new people in this college, and the ones that live with you can oftentimes turn out to be your best friends. There were some people I started talking to near the end of the year and I just wished I had started earlier so I could've gotten to know them much better
Favorite class
Life Science 15- it's a very interesting biology course that delves into many topics I would've never though to study by myself- such as happiness. The class was hosted in a very unique fashion, with live experiments being done in lecture too, and a music video being an opportunity for extra credit. The professor is the funniest and most interesting professor I've seen in this school so far and I hope to take another one of his classes.
Career goals
I initially want to go into asset management, start of as an analyst and make my way up. However, I also want to start something of my own on the side in my spare time, in hopes of eventually starting and scaling my own business.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My perfect free night would be one where my 4-5 closest friends are also free, and we all decide to try out something new, like we did last year with karaoke or gun range. Exploring a new place and neighborhood, especially in the night with my best friends is something I will always be down for.

Favorite spot on campus
It's the balcony right above Bplate- the one near sproul landing. There's a few sofas there and no one usually sits there since it's a little out of the way. There's always good wind blowing and I love watching the field from up there. It's where I go whenever I want to just relax and spend time with myself. Plus there's often people playing the piano nearby, so it's never boring.
