Agriculture+Greek Life+Traditions

Howdy! I’m Megan and I am a Junior here at A&M. I am a poultry science student with a minor in Agricultural Food sales. I am so passionate about agriculture and the opportunities it has provided me with. I’m also involved in greek life as well as multiple clubs and organizations. I enjoy the opportunity to share the school I love with others! Gig ‘em!

Describe your college experience

I fell in love with Texas A&M when I was younger and was counting down the days till I was finally on campus. I was a little bit nervous when I arrived, but my nerves were quickly relieved by the people and the campus. I can proudly say that I am still as in love with Aggieland as I was when I was a kid.

Tip for future students

Don’t be a 2%er! Invest fully in all the university has to offer, especially the traditions. It truly has been my favorite part of college and I would be happy to talk about my favorite traditions and answer any questions on a tour. Texas A&M and college in general is so much more fun when you buy into it. It is also a great way to meet people and make the most of your experience. Also I’d recommend bringing an umbrella and rain boots :)

Favorite class

My favorite class has been any of the poultry classes! The small class sizes, and professors make a school as large as A&M feel so small.

Career goals

I hope to work in Pharmaceutical Sales or attend Professional School.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Any free time I have is spent watching and attending Aggie sports as a member of the 12th man. In the fall my free nights are spent watching soccer, volleyball, attending midnight yell and of course cheering on the Aggies in Kyle field for football. In the spring my evenings are spent either at Reed arena watching basketball or at Olsen blowing bubbles at a baseball game. BTHO everyone!

High school or secondary school

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus is Aggie Park. I have a hammock and love laying by the water, overlooking Kyle field and catching up on work. When it’s too hot for that, you can find me on a couch in the Kleberg building( Animal and food science).
