Hello! I'm currently a clinical psychology major at UCF, entering my second year as a junior standing. I lived on campus last year, which gave me the opportunity to explore the whole campus. I love meeting new people and helping prospective students feel excited and get comfortable as they begin their college journey. Describe your college experience

Going to college has definitely been one of the most exciting experiences of my life. Living on campus my first year helped me become independent, build meaningful relationships, and fully immerse myself in the UCF community. I spent lots of my time exploring campus, whether it was finding places to study, eat, or just relax, which helped UCF feel like home. Now entering my second-year, I feel confident and comfortable around the campus. My experience has helped me adjust to the college lifestyle so much and I'm very excited to share with prospective students and their families to make them feel just as welcome and comfortable as I do.

Tip for future students

My biggest piece of advice is to step outside of your comfort zone and take advantage of everything UCF has to offer. Go to campus events, explore different study spots around campus, utilize the many resources, and definitely don't be shy to introduce yourself to new people. College is your time to learn, grow, and discover who you are and what works best for you in the real world, so don't hold yourself back, experience it all while you can!

Favorite class

My favorite class so far was Psychopathology with Caylee-Mae Williams. She is an absolutely awesome professor who made the lectures very informative and engaging. Also, the content matter of the course was interesting itself. I wish I could take it again and again.

Career goals

After continuing my education to at least a Master's degree, I hope to become a clinical psychologist. I really want to help those who suffer from mental health disorders and make a difference for them.

Ideal way to spend a free night

When I have a free night, it doesn't matter what I'm doing, I just like to be with my friends. I cherish my friendships dearly and I really appreciate spending any time I can get with them, whether we go out to do something or stay in and have a game night together.

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite place on campus is the reflection pond, specifically sitting there as the sun is setting. During my first year, I would spend many nights doing homework or just listening to music there. It was such a peaceful way to spend my time, because there were always other people just enjoying their lives around and the views were amazing.
