Describe your college experience

I was super excited for college but did not really know what to expect. It was definitely a huge change but did not take long to start feeling right at home. Welcome week is the perfect time to meet tons of new people in your dorms and just around campus. Getting involved in clubs or organizations is a great way to make the school feel a bit smaller and there really is something for everyone. In my time here at CU over the last few years, I have found a great balance between my academics and social life where I can take advantage of all Boulder has to offer. Looking back, coming to CU Boulder has been one of the best decisions I’ve made.

Tip for future students

Don’t worry about having everything figured out as soon as you get here. There is plenty of time and opportunities to be had. Just make sure that you are saying yes to every opportunity and when you find something you really like you can stick with it.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been BASE. It’s a 6 credit hour class that you take in the spring semester of sophomore year and it’s a comprehensive course regarding applied business experiences. Essentially it combines all of the other business classes you have been taking, and you get to work on scenarios regarding real world companies such as Disney and Justin’s nut butters.

Career goals

After college I would love to work in finance, ideally in wealth management. I’m currently pursuing a global business certificate and am interested in international finance as well.

Ideal way to spend a free night

There is so much fun to be had here at Boulder that it’s hard to pick for just one night. Between football games, social events on the hill, amazing restaurants on Pearl street, the Boulder creek, and the flatirons and mountains right behind campus, you can never really run out of things to do.

Favorite spot on campus

Farrand Field. I lived in Cheyenne Arapahoe my freshman year, one of the dorms lining Farrand. When it’s nice out in the fall and spring everyone comes out to enjoy the good weather. Spending time with friends and fellow students on Farrand will always be good memories for me.
