Describe your college experience
My transition to college has been amazing so far. I have been welcomed with open arms by my fellow classmates, coaches, and professors. The energy surrounding the Bates community has made living at Bates effortless and I am proud to call this community my home.
Tip for future students
By allowing myself to experience all different types of opportunities, I found that I was able to interact with people I would not usually see on a daily basis. This gave me the opportunity to connect on a personal level with all members of my community and form meaningful relationships with those outside of my immediate circle. I would encourage new students to be open to all experiences and learn what makes them happiest in our amazing community.
Favorite class
I enjoyed taking japanomania during my first j term this past may at Bates. I got to learn about the origins of Japan with many of my fellow teammates which allowed me to go deeper into my learning experience and enjoy all the material that was presented in the classroom.
Career goals
I am excited about the opportunity to explore finance related roles after graduation!
Ideal way to spend a free night
On a free night, I enjoy spending time with my fellow teammates. Whether it be going somewhere as a group, or playing video games together, I am happy to be with the people that make my college experience feel like home.
High school or secondary school
Pingree School
Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot on campus would have to be the Ladd library learning commons. I believe this space is perfect for collaborative thinking with my fellow classmates and allows for seamless engagement with community members who I do not cross paths with very often.
