Describe your college experience

When I got to college, I was lucky enough to be enrolled in a Learning Community, Lloyd Scholars for the Writing and the Arts. This made it incredibly easy to find my place within my community. My coursework was hard, but manageable, and what's more, I was actually learning about things I was interested in. I also enjoyed the clubs I enrolled in.

Tip for future students

Do not be afraid to go up to others and start up a conversation. Almost everyone is in the same place as you, and making friends is much easier at the beginning of the school year.

Favorite class

My favorite class was Old Stories, New Tellings, my First-year Writing course. We studied how retellings can be used to comment on old works, and we even made our own retellings. To me, it was fascinating, and I loved sharing a classroom with people who actually cared about what we were learning.

Career goals

After college, I want to become a pediatrician and/or do something with nonprofits.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal free night is spent playing board games or watching a movie with friends.

High school or secondary school

Forest Hills Central High School

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite place on campus is the Michigan League building. It has a cute cafe, as well as aesthetic study spots that help me to romanticize studying.

Meeting point
