Describe your college experience

It was tough being away from home the first time, but finding community in my extracurriculars made my first year more memorable and fun. I had to adjust my learning and studying styles to support university education.

Tip for future students

It is very helpful to join cultural or interest based clubs and groups to find other people who are similar to you. It will make university life feel much more comfortable and welcoming.

Favorite class

THEA80P - Pixar allowed me to explore the storylines of my childhood movies and to share my thoughts about them with others. We were given the opportunity to create a story that we would present to Pixar if given the chance.

Career goals

I plan to further my education and experience in order to move toward becoming an optometrist.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I would prefer to stay in and listen to music while doing some of my hobbies, like playing guitar or crocheting.

High school or secondary school

Clayton Valley Charter High School - Concord, CA

Favorite spot on campus

One of my favorite spots on campus is the Music Center. There is an area in it that faces a field and it is very beautiful and peaceful at sunset.

Meeting point

Outside of Slug Stop on the University of California, Santa Cruz campus
