Passionate student looking forward to help you succeed!

Hello! My name is Sahasra, I’m currently a third year student at UC Santa Barbara. I’m pursuing a double major in Data Science and Economics and considering a minor in linguistics. I love to cook, read, workout, hike, and draw! Not to toot my own horn, but I’m pretty knowledgeable and I am more than happy to answer whatever questions you may have! Deciding where you want to go to college is one of the most important decisions you will have to make and I look forward to helping you make an informed decision!

Describe your college experience

My college experience was definitely not perfect at first. The transition to living with roommates definitely took a while to adjust to and I really struggled to make friends. For my first few quarters, I felt so isolated and alone. But as time passed, I found my people and I built a community for myself. It took a while, but now I absolutely love my college experience!

Tip for future students

JOIN ORGS ON CAMPUS! My biggest regret from my freshman year was not getting more involved on campus. It’s the best way to meet new people and really become a part of your school community. There are so many different clubs on campus ranging from professional to diving, it may take a second but you will find your fit!

Favorite class

My favorite class I’ve taken was ARTHI 6K, Islamic Art and Architecture. The professor and the TAs were so caring and passionate about the subject it made the class so fun! I also enjoy writing and so the short answer exams were right up my alley!

Career goals

I’m not entirely sure what exactly I want to do after I graduate. I think grad school is potentially an option or I would like to join the work force as a consultant or business analyst.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My favorite way to spend a free night is with my friends! Nothing beats a home cooked dinner and game night or movie night. It really is the perfect way to unwind and have a few laughs after a long day.

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus are the bluffs by Campus Point. You get some of the best views and it’s such a great walking or running path!
