Describe your college experience

My transition to Northwestern has been an exciting journey of growth, exploration, and finding my community. Balancing rigorous academics with research, athletics, volunteering, and student organizations has challenged me to become more independent and intentional with my time. Through these experiences, I've discovered new passions, built meaningful relationships, and learned that college is what you make of it—taking initiative and seeking out opportunities is what makes the experience truly rewarding.

Tip for future students

Don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone and take initiative. College is full of opportunities, but many of the best experiences come from reaching out, asking questions, and trying things that are unfamiliar. Build relationships with professors, explore different organizations, and give yourself time to find your community—your college experience will grow as you do.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been Research-Based Biology because it combined foundational biological concepts with hands-on scientific inquiry. I enjoyed learning how discoveries are made through experimentation, data analysis, and collaboration, and the course strengthened my interest in biomedical research and engineering applications in healthcare.

Career goals

After college, I hope to pursue a career at the intersection of engineering, medicine, and patient care. I am interested in becoming a physician while continuing to explore biomedical innovation and research, using technology and scientific discovery to improve healthcare outcomes and positively impact patients' lives.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal free night would be spent exploring Evanston or Chicago with friends, trying a new restaurant, attending a campus event, or relaxing with a movie after a busy week. I also enjoy staying active, so a perfect evening might include skating, playing lacrosse, or simply spending time with the Northwestern community.

My favorite spot on campus is the lakefill because it offers a peaceful escape while still feeling connected to the Northwestern community. Whether I'm walking between classes, studying outdoors, or watching the sunset over Lake Michigan, it is one of my favorite places to recharge and appreciate the beauty of campus.
