Describe your college experience

Living on my own was a great change for me after living with my family of 7, and I got along great with different kinds of people including my roommates. I was able to experience lots of Santa Cruz City and get myself places which gave me a sense of freedom, even though I had no car. Academics was difficult, but I learned many lessons that are serving me well in my future endeavors.

Tip for future students

Take some time to yourself to reflect and learn about who you are. Outside of extracurriculars, academics, friends, and family, take time to journal or just sit in silence. Being in nature also really helps to think inward.

Favorite class

Writing 2, because I thought the teacher was the best I have had and really let me become my own in my writing, which is funny enough not a favorite subject of mine.

Career goals

Gain work experience somewhere that improves my flexibility in work forces, ideally somewhere that I can either leverage my engineering degree, or teach me how to lead a team in an office space.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Comfortable but stylish clothes, grabbing some snacks and drinks at a convenience store, doing an activity in a walkable city then heading home and watching a really good movie.

Favorite spot on campus

Porter Meadows, because I can relax and do a picnic, stargaze, sun tan, frisbee, or take a walk and not bother anyone.
