I find joy in bringing people together

I’m someone who genuinely loves connecting with people, not just making small talk, but building meaningful relationships and getting to know the people I meet. I enjoy being the person who welcomes others with warmth and sincerity, helping them feel comfortable and included. I’m always looking for ways to get involved, whether that’s leading student organizations, serving in my church, or simply showing up for events and opportunities to support others. I find a lot of joy in bringing people together and creating spaces where they feel valued and connected. At my core, I have a heart for serving others. I naturally look for ways to help, encourage, and be there for people, and I believe that even small interactions can leave a lasting positive impact.

Describe your college experience

To be super honest, I didn't want to come to UCF at first... But after spending my first semester here, I realized this was exactly where I was meant to be. What I love most about UCF is that there are endless opportunities to explore your interests, get involved, and meet people from all different backgrounds. Being a commuter student can be challenging because it's easy to just come to class and head back home. Looking back, the best decision I made was joining a club I knew I would genuinely enjoy. That's why I joined the Venezuelan Student Association as Secretary during my freshman year. It gave me the chance to meet amazing people, become more involved on campus, and step outside of my comfort zone, which was exactly what I needed. Overall, I've loved my experience at UCF.

Tip for future students

One thing I've learned is that there are always people willing to help; you just have to be open to putting yourself out there. If I could give one piece of advice, it would be to be intentional with the people you meet. Those connections can turn into lifelong friendships and completely shape your college experience.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been Public Communication Campaigns. The professor was amazing, and I really enjoyed learning about the different ways communication campaigns can be tailored to specific audiences. Before taking the class, I never realized how much thought, strategy, and planning go into creating a successful campaign. It gave me a whole new appreciation for the work that happens behind the scenes.

Career goals

I hope to build a career in branding and communications because I love everything that goes into creating a brand. I'm fascinated by how storytelling, visuals, and strategy all come together to shape the way people experience a business. I would love to help create brands that not only look great but also make people feel connected and leave a lasting impression.
